Dhoni Ki Hogi Unhoni

I am a firm believer of Karma.. and Dhoni's past Karma's were going to take him down some time. So far his luck was favoring him so he survived but now it has all gone away. I was really happy today that the news channels and the media started speculating that Sehwag will be new captain. I think that's a good choice for captaincy.

Okay now lets discuss why all this is happening to Dhoni. Following are my reasons for his downfall.

1. Removing all the seniors from the side.
2. Teaching the young players how to disrespect the seniors.
3. Ending careers of legends like Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman.
4. Over influencing the selection process.
5. Favoring some players in team like Yuvraj, Ravindra Jadeja etc despite them being in really poor form.
6. Not inspiring his team about the importance of fitness as a result most players are today overweight.
7. No improvements in fielding under Dhoni's captaincy. No strategy for improvement in fielding which has been our weakness since a long time now. Remember catches win matches and we have done exactly opposite of that.
8. Not nurturing quality pace and spin bowlers. RP Singh
   
9. Introducing concept of part time baller and batsman (Yousuf Pathan)
10. Relying too much on Batsmen.

You might be feeling I am being really harsh on Dhoni but I was waiting for this moment for years.I always felt that anything that rises falls some day and the pace in which Dhoni's fame had risen it had to come down sooner or later. One of the reasons why Indian cricket team is still No 1 in tests is because we still have a few seniors left.


Anyways let hope the Indian team finds some rest after all this and bounces back. I just hope that we do not commit such mistakes in upcoming oneday international worldcup 2011.
